James Valley Drovers:

The James Valley Drovers were formed in 2004 as a unit of the James Valley Shrine Club. While small in number, the group has been very active, appearing with their chuck wagon in parades around the area.  The Drivers are immediately identifiable due to their unique chaps, wrist cuffs and saddles, all bearing the symbols of the Shrine and Masons.  The main emphasis of the unit, however, is the preservation of old west skills coupled with fund raising for the Shrine through Authentic Ranch Rodeos they have produced.  Rodeos have been done in Watertown, Wessington Springs, Miller and at the South Dakota State Fair. Anyone seeking more information or interested in becoming a Drover is encouraged to contact the secretary.

James Valley Fire Crew #1 (Huron):

The Fire Crew’s 9125 Ford Model T fire truck attends many community celebrations/parades.  They recently had their truck repainted and new signage applied—giving a better story of the Shriners help to children who have been burned or are impaired, along with information how to contact a Shriner for help.  Shriners have fun helping children and they want children to have fun growing up.  The Fire Crew, spouses and widows meet every Friday a.m. for breakfast in Huron.

Yelduz Racing Club:

This unit was started in 2007.  The Racing Club has purchased a Super Stock race car that will be used to advertise the Shrine.  The car will be street legal and can be driven in parades and shown at car shows.  Their long term plan is to have a second car that can actually be raced at local tracks in Aberdeen, Watertown & Huron.  Shriners interested in being a member requires only a $100 donation to the unit.  This will get their name on the car and a sticker to put on their vehicle to advertise the club.  Any unit member can drive this car in parades or take it to a show in their area.

Mobridge Shrine Club: Meets 2nd Tuesday – quarterly

The Mobridge Shrine Club participates, promotes and helps with the work of the Yelduz Shrine Center in Aberdeen.  Three of the Units and/or promotions they participate in are the Yelduz Chanters, The Shrine Circus and the Yelduz Road Runners.

The Mobridge Shrine Club not only participate and promote their own circus held during the summer, but 10-15 of their members also drive the 100 miles to Aberdeen to help Yelduz put on yet another circus that we can all be proud of.

Their Road Runners always seem to find the time and manpower to transport patients to and from the Twin Cities Unit of the Shriners Hospital for Children, even if it means spending a night or two.

Ten out of the 24 members of the Yelduz Chanters hail from the Mobridge area.

The Mobridge Shrine Club is proud to be a part of the Yelduz Shrine Temple.
